Virginia High School Basketball - Indian River fells Deep Creek

The Indian River Braves basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Deep Creek Hornets to 56 in the Braves non-league triumph on Friday.
The Braves now have a 11-2 record. They play next when they host Heritage for a non-league game on Saturday, February 8. Indian River will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 66-54 non-league win over Hampton (Hampton, VA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 11-3.
With the loss, Deep Creek falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Hickory (Chesapeake, VA) to confront the Hawks in a non-league game on Monday, February 10. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 2-11. Hickory lost 67-31 in their recent non-league game against Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA)
