The West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) softball routed the host Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, MS), 18-3 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Trojans now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lawrence County for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 10.

With the loss, Columbia moves to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Purvis (Purvis, MS) to clash with the Tornadoes in a 4A Region 7 test on Tuesday, February 10. The Tornadoes go into the test with a record of 1-0. Purvis won 4-0 in their recent non-league test against Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS)
