The Lima Central Catholic Thunderbirds basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Jefferson Wildcats to 37 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Tuesday.
The Thunderbirds now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ottoville for a non-league contest on Friday, February 11. Lima Central Catholic will meet a Big Green team coming off a 44-29 league win over Continental (Continental, OH). The Big Green record now stands at 12-7.
The Wildcats (5-16) will now prepare for their contest against Columbus Grove (Columbus Grove, OH). The Bulldogs enter the Northwest contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Columbus Grove triumphed over Triway (Wooster, OH), 55-50, in a non-league contest.
