Crownpoint Eagles (Crownpoint, NM) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Rehoboth Christian Lynx (Rehoboth, NM), 47-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Crownpoint upgrades its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Newcomb (Newcomb, NM) to play the Skyhawks in a 3A District 1 bout on Thursday, February 9. The Skyhawks come into the bout with a record of 11-12. Newcomb lost 88-41 in their recent league bout against Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM)

Next up, the Lynx play the Laguna Acoma Hawks (New Laguna, NM) in a 2A District 1 bout, on Friday, February 10. Rehoboth Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Hawks come into the bout with a 6-17 record after their 49-45 league loss to Navajo Pine (Navajo, NM).
