Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Northern Patriots (Owings, MD), 80-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Westlake upgrades its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Patuxent (Lusby, MD) to play the Panthers in a Southern Maryland bout on Friday, February 10. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 2-17. Patuxent lost 61-51 in their recent league bout against Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD)

Next up, the Patriots play the La Plata Warriors (La Plata, MD) in a Southern Maryland bout, on Friday, February 10. Northern will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 71-50 league loss to Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD).
