Connecticut High School Basketball - Putnam edges Old Lyme

The Putnam Clippers (Putnam, CT) basketball nipped the visiting Old Lyme Wildcats (Old Lyme, CT), 61-55 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Clippers (9-10) will now prepare for their test against Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT). The Bulldogs go into the Eastern Connecticut IV test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, Lyman Memorial was tipped by Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT), 51-48, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Old Saybrook for a Shoreline test on Friday, February 10. Old Lyme will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 65-64 league loss to Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT). The Rams record now stands at 11-6.
