In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls (Kenner, LA) basketball squad nipped the host Academy of the Sacred Heart Cardinals (New Orleans, LA), by a margin of 29-25.
The Swamp Owls (18-11) will now prepare for their outing against Riverdale (Jefferson, LA). The Rebels go into the 4A District 9 outing with a 13-5 record. In their last outing, Riverdale was tipped by De La Salle (New Orleans, LA), 37-27, in a league outing.
The Cardinals now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Ursuline Academy for a 3A District 9 outing on Thursday, February 9. Academy of the Sacred Heart will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 41-15 league win over Wright (New Orleans, LA). The Lions record now stands at 8-7.
