Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the St. Francis Sharks (Watsonville, CA) and the visiting Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA), saw St. Francis's basketball squad knock off Gilroy by a tally of 43-33.

With the victory, St. Francis improves its record to 6-13 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to Soledad (Soledad, CA) to play the Aztecs in a PCAL - Cypress challenge on Friday, February 10. The Aztecs come into the challenge with a record of 9-10. Soledad won 50-49 in their recent league challenge against North Monterey County (Castroville, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Live Oak Acorns (Morgan Hill, CA) in a Blossom Valley - West Valley challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Gilroy will attempt to improve on its 14-8 season record. The Acorns come into the challenge with a 17-5 record after their 60-25 league win over Yerba Buena (San Jose, CA).
