In Wednesday's non-league battle, the St. Bernard Saints (Uncasville, CT) basketball team defeated the host Old Lyme Wildcats (Old Lyme, CT), by a tally of 57-44.
The Saints now possess a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tourtellotte for a Eastern Connecticut - 4 battle on Friday, February 10. St. Bernard will confront a Tigers team coming off a 53-18 non-league loss to Rocky Hill (Rocky Hill, CT). The Tigers record now stands at 3-13.
The Wildcats (1-16) will now prepare for their battle against Old Saybrook (Old Saybrook, CT). The Rams come into the Shoreline battle with a 10-8 record. In their last battle, Old Saybrook was toppled by Coginchaug Regional (Durham, CT), 50-27, in a league battle.
