In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Vandalia Vandals basketball team scored a good 52-37 triumph over the Roxana Shells.
In their next game, the Vandals meet the Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL) in a South Central match, on Thursday, February 9. Vandalia will attempt to move on its 20-10 season record. The Piasa Birds enter the match with a 4-21 record after their 38-16 league loss to Litchfield (Litchfield, IL).
With the defeat, Roxana moves to 12-16 on the year. The Shells host Columbia (Columbia, IL) to meet the Eagles in a Cahokia - Mississippi match on Thursday, February 9. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 18-10. Columbia won 71-65 in their recent non-league match against Triad (Troy, IL)
