In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Simpson Academy Cougars basketball team scored a good 54-41 triumph over the Starkville Academy Volunteers.
In their next game, the Cougars meet the Heritage Academy Patriots (Columbus, MS) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 10. Simpson Academy will attempt to better on its 28-4 season record.
