In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Garey Vikings soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles.
The Vikings (13-4) will now prepare for their match against Schurr (Montebello, CA). The Spartans come into the non-league match with a 16-6 record. In their last match, Schurr got by Pasadena (Pasadena, CA), 1-0, in a non-league match.
With the loss, Desert Hot Springs drops to 10-6 on the season.
