Los Alamitos Griffins (Los Alamitos, CA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Griffins face the Mira Costa Mustangs (Manhattan Beach, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Los Alamitos will attempt to better on its 16-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Temecula Valley (Temecula, CA).
The Monarchs now have a 8-4 record.
