Colorado High School Basketball - Akron overwhelms Hi-Plains

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Akron Rams (Akron, CO) and the visiting Hi-Plains Patriots (Seibert, CO), saw Akron's basketball squad wallop Hi-Plains by a tally of 57-24.

With the victory, Akron improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Haxtun (Haxtun, CO) to confront the Fightin' Bulldogs in a 3A/2A Lower Platte challenge on Friday, February 9. The Fightin' Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 4-13. Haxtun lost 73-38 in their recent league challenge against Wray (Wray, CO)

Next up, the Patriots confront the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles (Denver, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 10. Hi-Plains will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-15 record after their 62-19 non-league loss to Evangel Christian Academy (Colorado Springs, CO).
