The Annawan Braves tipped the visiting Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans basketball team by a score of 61-57 in Thursday's league battle.
The Braves now sport a 22-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Princeville for a Lincoln Trail battle on Friday, February 9. Annawan will battle a Princes team coming off a 58-57 league loss to Mercer County (Aledo, IL). The Princes record now stands at 23-4.
The Spartans (11-17) will now prepare for their battle against Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL). The Flying Geese come into the Lincoln Trail battle with a 11-14 record. In their last battle, Wethersfield edged Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL), 55-52, in a league battle.
