The Banks Academy Jets (Birmingham, AL) basketball nipped the host Lowndes Academy Rebels (Lowndesboro, AL), 55-52 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Jets (14-7) will now prepare for their test against Escambia Academy (Atmore, AL). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 17-2 record. In their last test, Escambia Academy got by Trinity Christian (Opelika, AL), 43-18, in a non-league test.
The Rebels now own a 9-6 record.
