The Pomperaug Panthers basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Brookfield Bobcats to 56 in the Panthers league victory on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northwestern Regional for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 10. Pomperaug will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 69-29 non-league win over Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT). The Highlanders record now stands at 14-4.

The Bobcats (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Joel Barlow (Redding, CT). The Falcons come into the Southwest contest with a 3-15 record. In their last contest, Joel Barlow was nudged by Weston (Weston, CT), 70-56, in a league contest.
