Burke Cougars (Burke, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Kimball/White Lake Wildkats (Kimball, SD), 54-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Burke upgrades its record to 4-11 on the season. The Cougars host Gayville-Volin (Gayville, SD) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Gayville-Volin won 58-40 in their recent non-league bout against Sioux Falls Lutheran (Sioux Falls, SD)

Next up, the Wildkats clash with the Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] Battlers (Gettysburg, SD) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Kimball/White Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Battlers go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 55-51 league win over Faulkton (Faulkton, SD).
