Cranston West Falcons (Cranston, RI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI), 45-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cranston West upgrades its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Providence Country Day (East Providence, RI) to play the Knights in a Division 2 bout on Friday, February 9. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 3-14. Providence Country Day lost 63-56 in their recent league bout against Hope (Providence, RI)

Next up, the Vikings play the Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Friday, February 9. Rogers will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 8-11 record after their 63-57 league loss to Johnston (Johnston, RI).
