The Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) basketball knocked off the host Harvard Hornets (Harvard, IL), 53-36 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Cogs (9-18) will now prepare for their test against Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL). The Rockets go into the Big Northern test with a 17-10 record. In their last test, Rock Falls went down by Dixon (Dixon, IL), 71-47, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 2-24 record. They play next when they travel to Plano for a Kishwaukee River test on Friday, February 9. Harvard will encounter a Reapers squad coming off a 64-59 league loss to Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL). The Reapers record now stands at 13-13.
