Nebraska High School Basketball - Silver Lake thwarts Giltner

The Silver Lake Mustangs (Roseland, NE) basketball knocked off the visiting Giltner Hornets (Giltner, NE), 51-40 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (15-4) will now prepare for their test against Meridian (Daykin, NE). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 4-12 record. In their last test, Meridian went down by Osceola (Osceola, NE), 62-20, in a non-league test.

The Hornets now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Hampton for a D2 District 3 test on Friday, February 9. Giltner will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 39-24 non-league loss to Riverside (Cedar Rapids, NE). The Hawks record now stands at 7-11.
