The Hillcrest Hawks basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Thornton Fractional North Meteors to 35 in the Hawks league triumph on Thursday.

The Hawks now sport a 16-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Homewood-Flossmoor for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Hillcrest will meet a Vikings team coming off a 80-59 league win over Lockport (Lockport, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 25-3.

The Meteors (13-10) will now prepare for their contest against Shepard (Palos Heights, IL). The Astros enter the South Suburban contest with a 7-21 record.
