The Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial Carayiit basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Kongiganak Wolverines to 45 in the Carayiit league triumph on Thursday.
The Carayiit now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kongiganak for a 1A Alaska Coastal contest on Thursday, February 8. Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 76-52 league loss to Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat (Quinhagak, AK). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-7.
The Wolverines (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial (Kwethluk, AK). The Carayiit enter the 1A Alaska Coastal bout with a 9-5 record. In their last bout, Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial overwhelmed Dillingham (Dillingham, AK), 51-44, in a non-league bout.
