The Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) basketball felled the visiting Watertown Indians (Watertown, CT), 84-67 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Chiefs (14-4) will now prepare for their test against Terryville (Terryville, CT). The Kangaroos go into the Berkshire test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Terryville went down by Thomaston (Thomaston, CT), 60-54, in a league test.
The Indians now own a 2-14 record. They play next when they travel to Bristol Eastern for a non-league test on Saturday, February 10. Watertown will encounter a Lancers squad coming off a 68-60 non-league win over Middletown (Middletown, CT). The Lancers record now stands at 13-3.
