West Virginia High School Basketball - Parkersburg crushes Riverside

February 8, 2024: Belle, WV 25015

Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Riverside Warriors (Belle, WV), 65-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Parkersburg upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season. The Big Reds host South Charleston (South Charleston, WV) to play the Black Eagles in a Mountain State bout on Saturday, February 10. The Black Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-7. South Charleston won 72-55 in their recent non-league bout against Logan (Logan, WV)

Next up, the Warriors play the Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Riverside will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 84-64 non-league win over Greater Beckley Christian (Prosperity, WV).
