Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Ticonderoga Sentinels (Ticonderoga, NY), 38-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Peru upgrades its record to 3-14 on the season. The Nighthawks host Saranac (Saranac, NY) to clash with the Spartans in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I bout on Thursday, February 15. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 7-8.

Next up, the Sentinels clash with the AuSable Valley Patriots (Clintonville, NY) in a Section 7 Champlain Valley II bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Ticonderoga will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record.
