The Marlboro Mustangs basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Barnegat Bengals to 37 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Mustangs now sport a 4-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brick Memorial for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 10. Marlboro will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 61-41 non-league loss to Ranney (Tinton Falls, NJ). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-10.
The Bengals (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against Lakewood (Lakewood, NJ). The Piners enter the Shore B - South contest with a 3-14 record. In their last contest, Lakewood was dropped by Perth Amboy (Perth Amboy, NJ), 81-33, in a non-league challenge.
