Varsity Opponent (, ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Bethel Christian Academy Eagles (Canton, NC), 34-33 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Varsity Opponent upgrades its record to 132-463 on the campaign. The travel to Peekskill (Peekskill, NY) to play the Red Devils in a Section 1 Conference 2C bout on Thursday, February 8. The Red Devils come into the bout with a record of 8-11.
Next up, the Eagles play the Varsity Opponent (, ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Bethel Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record.
