Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chrisman Cardinals (Chrisman, IL), 60-15 in a league bout.

With the win, Hoopeston upgrades its record to 17-14 on the season. The Cornjerkers host Oakwood (Fithian, IL) to clash with the Comets in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 12-19. Oakwood won 54-15 in their recent league bout against Schlarman (Danville, IL)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Heritage Hawks (Broadlands, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Chrisman will attempt to upgrade on its 9-19 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 2-26 record after their 73-24 league loss to Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] (Kansas, IL).
