The Normal University Pioneers tipped the host Lanphier Lions basketball team by a final score of 40-35 in Thursday's league game.
In their next game, the Pioneers face the Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, February 10. Normal University will attempt to move on its 8-22 season record. The Maroons enter the game with a 20-11 record after their 50-44 non-league win over St. Teresa (Decatur, IL).
With the defeat, Lanphier moves to 5-20 on the year.
