North Community Polars (Minneapolis, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Minneapolis South Tigers (Minneapolis, MN), 57-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Community upgrades its record to 12-8 on the season.

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Henry/Minneapolis North Patriots (Minneapolis, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Minneapolis South will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 56-47 non-league loss to Roosevelt (Minneapolis, MN).
