In Thursday's non-league outing, the Mullen Broncos (Mullen, NE) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Sandhills Valley Mavericks (Stapleton, NE), by a count of 55-9.

The Broncos (7-11) will now prepare for their outing against Crawford (Crawford, NE). The Rams go into the D2 District 12 outing with a 14-8 record. In their last outing, Crawford smashed Hay Springs (Hay Springs, NE), 47-27, in a league challenge.

Next up, the Mavericks play the Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 9. Sandhills Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-19 season record. The Plainsmen come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 60-31 league loss to Bayard (Bayard, NE).
