The Winnebago Indians (Winnebago, NE) basketball nipped the visiting Santee Warriors (Santee, NE), 56-49 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Indians (7-10) will now prepare for their test against Tri County Northeast (Emerson, NE). The Wolfpack go into the non-league test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, Tri County Northeast was tipped by Bancroft-Rosalie (Bancroft, NE), 63-39, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 5-10 record. They play next when they travel to Crow Creek for a non-league test on Saturday, February 10. Santee will encounter a Chieftains squad coming off a 64-32 non-league win over Pine Ridge (Pine Ridge, SD). The Chieftains record now stands at 10-6.
