The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Tioga Indians (Tioga, LA) and the visiting Captain Shreve Gators (Shreveport, LA), saw Tioga's baseball team gain a win over Captain Shreve by a tally of 6-2.

The Indians (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Jena (Jena, LA). The Giants enter the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.

Next, the Gators face the Glenbrook Apaches (Minden, LA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, February 10. Captain Shreve will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Apaches enter the battle with a 0-1 record after their 4-4 non-league Loyola College Prep (Shreveport, LA).
