The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Waterloo West Wahawks (Waterloo, IA) and the host Columbus Sailors (Waterloo, IA), observed Waterloo West's basketball team overwhelm Columbus by a score of 68-36.

The Wahawks (12-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Hempstead (Dubuque, IA). The Mustangs come into the Mississippi Valley challenge with a 2-10 record. In their last challenge, Hempstead was routed by Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA), 84-33, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Sailors encounter the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels (Reinbeck, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Columbus will attempt to improve on its 9-12 season record.
