In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Forreston Cardinals basketball team scored a big 70-49 win over the Morrison Mustangs.

The Cardinals (17-10) will now prepare for their contest against Durand (Durand, IL). The Bulldogs come into the Northwest Upstate Illini - North contest with a 7-21 record. In their last contest, Durand was trounced by Pearl City (Pearl City, IL), 79-33, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Eastland Cougars (Lanark, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South contest, on Wednesday, February 12. Morrison will attempt to better on its 9-19 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 24-3 record after their 81-30 league win over Ashton-Franklin Center (Ashton, IL).
