The Grants Pirates basketball team scored 69 points and limited the host Sandia Prep Sundevils to 59 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now possess a 12-11 record. They play next when they host St. Pius X for a 4A District 5 game on Tuesday, February 11. Grants will confront a Sartans team coming off a 45-44 league win over Belen (Belen, NM). The Sartans record now stands at 17-5.

With the loss, Sandia Prep falls to 11-10 on the campaign. The Sundevils travel to East Mountain (Sandia Park, NM) to confront the Timberwolves in a 3A District 5 game on Tuesday, February 11. The Timberwolves go into the game with a record of 14-8. East Mountain lost 50-38 in their recent league game against Bosque (Albuquerque, NM)
