Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host New Hope Christian Academy Statesmen (Circleville, OH), 65-62 in a non-league bout.

The Vikings now possess a 10-9 record. They play next when they host McClain for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 11. Vinton County will play a Tigers team coming off a 48-43 non-league loss to Paint Valley (Bainbridge, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 8-11.

With the loss, New Hope Christian Academy falls to 13-5 on the campaign. The Statesmen host Wellington School (Columbus, OH) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 11. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 5-14. Wellington School won 60-50 in their recent league bout against Bishop Rosecrans (Zanesville, OH)
