In Saturday's non-league test, the New Salem Holsteins (New Salem, ND) basketball squad defeated the visiting Beach Buccaneers (Beach, ND), by a score of 46-31.

Next, the Holsteins clash with the Wilton/Wing Miners (Wilton, ND) in a B District 8 test, on Friday, February 14. New Salem will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record.

The Buccaneers (4-15) will now prepare for their test against Flasher (Flasher, ND). The Bulldogs come into the B District 7 test with a 13-7 record. In their last test, Flasher overcame Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig/Mott-Regent] (Elgin, ND), 44-36, in a league test.
