In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Bellevue West Thunderbirds basketball team scored a good 43-34 triumph over the Kearney Bearcats.

The Thunderbirds (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln Southwest (Lincoln, NE). The Silver Hawks go into the non-league contest with a 14-5 record. In their last contest, Lincoln Southwest was topped by Millard West (Omaha, NE), 68-51, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bearcats confront the Norfolk Panthers (Norfolk, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Kearney will attempt to better on its 14-3 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 6-13 record after their 63-26 non-league loss to Millard South (Omaha, NE).
