In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Sutton Mustangs basketball team scored a close 54-48 triumph over the David City Scouts.
The Mustangs (16-6) will now prepare for their contest against Wilber-Clatonia (Wilber, NE). The Wolverines go into the non-league contest with a 0-21 record. In their last contest, Wilber-Clatonia was tipped by Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE), 53-41, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Scouts battle the Madison Dragons (Madison, NE) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 13. David City will attempt to better on its 12-10 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 8-14 record after their 45-18 non-league loss to West Point-Beemer (West Point, NE).
