The Deptford Spartans basketball squad (Deptford, NJ), was nudged 34-31 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Palmyra Panthers (Palmyra, NJ)
With the victory, Palmyra advances its record to 16-2 on the year. The Panthers host Maple Shade (Maple Shade, NJ) to meet the Wildcats in a Burlco - Freedom battle on Monday, February 10. The Wildcats enter the battle with a record of 0-9.
The Spartans now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland Regional for a Tri-County - Liberty battle on Tuesday, February 11. Deptford will meet a Tartans squad coming off a 54-42 league loss to Timber Creek Regional (Erial, NJ). The Tartans record now stands at 1-13.
