Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Groton Tigers (Groton, SD), 43-37 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Elk Point-Jefferson advances its record to 14-3 on the year. The Huskies host Crofton (Crofton, NE) to meet the Warriors in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 16-3. Crofton won 53-32 in their recent non-league match against Boone Central (Albion, NE)
The Tigers now own a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Great Plains Lutheran for a non-league match on Monday, February 10. Groton will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 44-36 non-league win over Arlington (Arlington, SD). The Panthers record now stands at 12-3.
