The Cardinals (13-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Paintsville (Paintsville, KY). The Tigers come into the District 57 challenge with a 7-15 record. In their last challenge, Paintsville was tipped by Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY), 63-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY) in a District 59 challenge, on Monday, February 10. Shelby Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 66-55 non-league win over Morgan County (West Liberty, KY).
