The Iron Mountain Mountaineers topped the visiting Calumet Copper Kings basketball team by a final score of 55-37 in Wednesday's league game.
In their next game, the Mountaineers face the Gwinn Modeltowners (Gwinn, MI) in a Mid-Peninsula game, on Friday, February 11. Iron Mountain will attempt to move on its 9-3 season record. The Modeltowners enter the game with a 1-11 record after their 44-38 league win over Hancock (Hancock, MI).
With the defeat, Calumet moves to 7-5 on the year. The Copper kings host West Iron County (Iron River, MI) to face the Wykons in a Western Peninsula game on Friday, February 11. The Wykons enter the game with a record of 1-12. West Iron County lost 67-21 in their recent non-league game against Kingsford (Kingsford, MI)
