The Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks (Armour, SD) basketball knocked off the visiting Avon Pirates (Avon, SD), 50-30 in Thursday's league test.
The Nighthawks (13-3) will now prepare for their test against Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD). The Jaguars go into the B Region 5 test with a 6-9 record. In their last test, Corsica/Stickney notched a victory over Freeman (Freeman, SD), 54-42, in a non-league test.
The Pirates now own a 3-13 record. They play next when they host Ethan for a non-league test on Friday, February 10. Avon will encounter a Rustlers squad coming off a 63-62 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD). The Rustlers record now stands at 13-3.
