The Burke Cougars basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Kimball/White Lake Wildkats to 38 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Cougars now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Central for a non-league contest on Friday, February 10. Burke will battle a Knights team coming off a 33-28 non-league loss to Valentine (Valentine, NE). The Knights record now stands at 7-10.
The Wildkats (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Pine Ridge (Pine Ridge, SD). The Thorpes enter the non-league contest with a 11-3 record. In their last contest, Pine Ridge ran past Lakota Tech (Pine Ridge, SD), 55-48, in a league contest.
