The Centennial Cougars basketball team (Circle Pines, MN), was toppled 81-70 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Spring Lake Park Panthers (Spring Lake Park, MN)
The Panthers now possess a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Columbia Heights for a non-league battle on Monday, February 13. Spring Lake Park will confront a Hylanders team coming off a 84-48 league win over Fridley (Fridley, MN). The Hylanders record now stands at 9-9.
The Cougars (4-15) will now prepare for their battle against Anoka (Anoka, MN). The Tornadoes come into the AAAA Section 7 battle with a 9-10 record. In their last battle, Anoka beat Coon Rapids (Coon Rapids, MN), 88-67, in a league battle.
