Nebraska High School Basketball - Clarkson/Leigh thwarts Stanton

The Clarkson/Leigh Patriots (Clarkson, NE) basketball knocked off the host Stanton Mustangs (Stanton, NE), 53-42 in Thursday's league test.

The Patriots (13-8) will now prepare for their test against Aquinas (David City, NE). The Monarchs go into the non-league test with a 9-10 record. In their last test, Aquinas went down by St. Francis (Humphrey, NE), 52-36, in a non-league test.

The Mustangs now own a 8-13 record. They play next when they host Norfolk Catholic for a C2 District 5 test on Saturday, February 11. Stanton will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 56-50 non-league win over Boys Town (Boys Town, NE). The Knights record now stands at 14-6.
