Service Cougars (Anchorage, AK) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Kodiak Bears (Kodiak, AK), 55-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Service upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Dimond (Anchorage, AK) to play the Lynx in a 4A Cook Inlet bout on Friday, February 10. The Lynx go into the bout with a record of 14-2. Dimond won 64-22 in their recent league bout against Chugiak (Chugiak, AK)

Next up, the Bears play the Palmer Moose (Palmer, AK) in a 4A Northern Lights bout, on Friday, February 10. Kodiak will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Moose go into the bout with a 1-14 record after their 60-39 league loss to Anchorage Christian (Anchorage, AK).
